It’s time again for Switzerland’s toughest Backyard Ultra Race!⚡

Take on the ultimate endurance challenge at the foot of the Eiger! Run as long as you can—until only one remains. One lap. One hour. Over and over again.

The principle is simple:

In a Backyard Ultra, you run laps of 6.7 kilometers. You can take a maximum of one hour per lap – a new lap starts every full hour. Our technically demanding 6.7-kilometer, 248-meter circuit takes you along one of the most beautiful trails in Grindelwald. You decide how long your race lasts. All running levels are welcome! The Backyard Ultra Grindelwald takes place in our backyard in front of the Eiger Lodge. We not only offer accommodation, but also the start and finish area, catering, and warm rooms to take a break and warm up.
