DESCRIPTION:Discover the Eiger Ultra Trail routes with us\nTrail season is here\, and the Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB is just around the corner. It’s the perfect time to get to know the first sections of the courses on a long run and rack up some elevation gain. \nOur manager Stefan knows the Eiger Ultra Trails like the back of his hand and will lead the run. We’ll run at a comfortable pace—the focus is on having fun and enjoying the community. \nMeeting point + shoe test\nWe’ll meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Backdoor Shop in Grindelwald\, Dorfstrasse 164\, 3818 Grindelwald. If you’re interested\, you can test trail running shoes for free at the Backdoor Shop. We’ll start the run around 10.15 am. \nRoute\nWe’ll start at the Backdoor Shop and run up toward Grosse Scheidegg\, and from there to First (first section E101 and E51). From First\, we’ll run down to Bort\, and from there along the final section of the E16 back to Grindelwald. \nTotal distance: approx. 21 kilometers and 1\,200 meters of elevation gain \nShortcut Options\nIf you don’t want to do the entire route\, you have the following shortcut options: \n\nFrom Grosse Scheidegg\, take the bus back to Grindelwald\nFrom First\, take the gondola back to Grindelwald\nFrom Bort\, take the gondola back to Grindelwald\n\nRegistration + Contact\nTo help us estimate the number of participants\, we’d appreciate it if you could register briefly by email: marketing@eigerlodge.ch or via Instagram DM @eigerlodge_grindelwald. \nParticipation is at your own risk—you are responsible for your own equipment and food.
